Instructions
- Extract the juices: Squeeze oranges, grapefruit and lemons to collect their fresh juice.
- Prepare the segments: Peel a few oranges and grapefruits, then carefully cut between the membranes to remove the “supremes” (clean fruit segments). The author specifies that she does not do it for lemon because it is too acidic.
- Mix the base: In a large carafe, mix the pressed juices.
- Sweeten and flavor: Add the sugar and vanilla sugar. Pour in a small amount of orange blossom water. Mix well until the sugar is completely dissolved.
- Add texture and herbs: Add the fruit segments and fresh basil leaves to the carafe. Basil brings a unique aromatic touch.
- Cool: Add a generous amount of ice cubes.
- Serve: Serve immediately while frozen. You can use additional fruit slices or basil sprigs for a nice presentation in the glasses.
