Ingredients
- Coconut: Fresh coconut (flesh).
- Liquid base: Water (for mixing).
- Dairy products:
- Coconut cream: For a rich and exotic texture.
- Sweetened condensed milk: To provide softness and creaminess.
- Unsweetened condensed milk: To give more body.
- Aroma: Vanilla (liquid or vanilla sugar).
- Service: Ice cubes (to keep the juice very cold).
Preparation Steps
1. Prepare the coconut
- Extract the flesh from a fresh coconut. It is best to use fresh coconut rather than store-bought pieces for better taste.
- Cut the coconut meat into small pieces to make mixing easier.
2. Mixing
- Place the coconut pieces in a blender.
- Add enough water and blend thoroughly until the mixture is as smooth as possible.
3. Mix liquids
- In a large pitcher or bowl, mix the coconut mixture with the unsweetened condensed milk and the sweetened condensed milk.
- Add the coconut cream to give that thick, “exotic” consistency.
- Stir well to ensure that the different milks are perfectly incorporated.
4. Flavor and sweeten
- Add the vanilla to enhance the aroma.
- Adjust the sugar if necessary (although sweetened condensed milk is usually sufficient).
5. Cooling and service
- Add ice cubes to the juice so that it is very frozen.
- Serve immediately. This drink is best when enjoyed very cold and well shaken.
