- Sugar: 1 cup of white sugar.
- Water: 1 cup of water.
- Milk: Powdered milk (about 1-2 cups depending on your preference).
- Aroma: Coconut essence or milk essence.
Preparation Steps
1. Cooking the coconut
- In a large pot, combine the coconut strips, sugar, water and coconut essence.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until all the water has evaporated and the coconut strips are sticky and well coated with sugar.
2. Adding milk
- Once the water has completely evaporated, sprinkle the milk powder over the coconut strips.
- Mix well to ensure the strips are evenly coated with milk. For more deliciousness, you can add more powdered milk.
3. Drying
- Spread the coconut milk strips on a flat plate and let them dry in the open air for at least 2 hours, or even a whole day.
- Alternatively, you can use a dehydrator for a quicker, crispier result.
4. Service
- Once dry and firm, the strips of Coconut Milk sont prêtes à être dégustées ou emballées pour être conservées.
